Throughout the season, Wasatch Beach tournament results will be reported to AVPNext. The AVPNext Ranking System will be used to determine both local and national ranking. At the beginning of the 2009 season, 2008 UOVA rankings will be used.

The AVPNext Ranking System asigns points to players based on the number of teams in a doubles division:

First place points = the number of teams in the division.

Second place points = first place points - 2

Third place points = second place points - 3

Fourth place points = third place points - 4

Fifth place points = fourth place points - 5

The system continues until the total is 0. 

Example - 10 teams in the division:

First place players each receive 10 points

Second place players each receive 8 points

Third place players each receive 5 points

Fourth place players each receive 1 point

We'll report the results here on our site and to AVPNext early in the week following the event. If any issues arise regarding ranking, player eligibility, etc. they will be resolved by the Wasatch Beach Volleyball Player Representatives and Wasatch Beach Volleyball.
